Professional basketball LG requests to disclose point guard Doo Kyung-min's waivers, a former MVP

Point guard Doo Kyung-min, who was embroiled in a feud with the coaching staff at Changwon LG, the champion of professional basketball in the 2024-2025 season, is expected to leave the team.

According to the basketball community on the 11th, the LG club requested the KBL to announce Do Kyung-min's waiver the previous day.

Waver is a player who requested KBL to disclose the contract after the club wanted to terminate the contract or showed willingness to transfer it to other clubs.

The period is two weeks, and the disclosure cannot be withdrawn during this period. When a club that has announced its intention to recruit comes out by the 23rd, Doo Kyung-min will change his uniform.

If several clubs offer to recruit Doo Kyung-min, priority will be given in the reverse order of the regular league rankings in all seasons.

Doo Kyung-min, who stood as the best professional basketball player by winning the 2017-2018 regular league MVP, left Wonju DB for LG in a trade after the 2023-2024 season. 메이저사이트

During the last season, he played in only 14 regular league games due to injury. He played for about 15 minutes on average, recording 6.9 points and 3.1 assists.

Doo Kyung-min is known to have had friction with the coaching staff regarding his physical condition, performance, and playing time ahead of the playoffs.

LG manager Cho Sang-hyun met with reporters ahead of the first round of the semifinal playoff against Ulsan Hyundai Mobis in April and said, " (Doo Kyung-min) is not ready," adding, "I hope the focus will be on the players who are preparing well."
